The Job
evo's Distribution Center is at the heart of its retail business. We look to hire and develop high-energy, committed, knowledgeable individuals who know the importance of their role and performance in building evo's relationship with its customers, vendors, and fellow employees. Our DC crew is as much a part of relating directly to our customer as is work performance. This is demonstrated through the accuracy, timeliness and care at which their work is performed. Day shift starts at 5:30am Monday - Friday.
What you will do
- Receive product from vendors accurately and promptly.
- Organize processing, picking, packing, and shipping of customers orders.
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
- Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with other team members and team leads in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
- Comply with OSHA, State L&I, and company standards.
- Maintain acceptable attendance as described in evo DC Attendance Policy.
- Attends Shift and Department meetings as scheduled
- Execute Inbound, Outbound, Reverse Logistics, and Inventory Control per procedure.
- Report procedural or safety issues to Lead, Supervisor, or designated staff as they are identified.
- Maintain an orderly work area and participate in housekeeping tasks as requested by DC Leadership.
- Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate all equipment, including powered lift equipment, safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with other team members and team leads in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
Requirements
What you will need
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Sporting goods, retail, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.
- Familiarity with computer systems, warehouse management systems, parcel manifest systems and computerized scanning equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to achieve evo certification on safe operation of powered lift equipment (Order Picker & Fork Lift). Operation involves operating equipment at heights of up to 24 feet. Training is provided.
- Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods (at least two hours straight, for times in an 8 hour day)
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to user proper techniques to lift 50 pounds. Emphasis on safety is extremely important.
- Comfortable with a fast paced environment and meeting deadlines that can sometimes have tight scheduling requirements.
