Evoke Melt is seeking an Email Project Manager who is passionate about the Internet and enjoys working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and technology teams to execute email marketing programs.
This position involves managing the production of email communications such as client newsletters, product surveys, feedback forms, and company announcements. The Email Project Manager will work closely with Evoke Melt’s internal teams to create visually appealing email templates, effective landing pages, and other online messaging for various audiences. They will utilize online tools to create mass email campaigns, track open and delivery rates, and monitor subscriptions according to spam regulations.
General Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of an email marketing campaign including requirements gathering, planning, scheduling, design, development, coordination with supporting parties, and client communication
- Identify and analyze campaign objectives and key performance indicators to continually optimize email programs
- Define customer segmentation and business logic in coordination with clients and campaign objectives
- Drive overall email capture initiatives to grow customer email lists and opt-ins as well as improve click-through and open rates and brand engagement
- Monitor and minimize unsubscribe/bounce/complaint rates and ensure spam regulation compliance (e.g. CAN-SPAM)
- Coordinate with the design and development teams to ensure the campaign aligns with marketing strategy and has been tested accordingly for deployment
- Introduce, promote, and maintain email best practices including browser/client/device compatibility, the appearance of subject lines, use of images, segmentation and testing, aggressive profiling, drip campaigns, geo-targeting, dynamic content delivery, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of project management experience in a client-facing role, preferably in an agency or consulting environment
- Exposure to the email marketing process through one of the major email clients like Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook, and Yahoo
- Experience with consumer marketing communications, creative optimization, segmentation, targeting, database management, and list creation
- Basic familiarity with web analytics systems (e.g. Omniture, Google Analytics) and web technologies (e.g. HTML, APIs, and SEO)
- Strong understanding of email regulations (e.g. CAN-SPAM) and the ability to articulate and champion email marketing best practices and standards
- Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders and channels
- Skilled in critical thinking, problem-solving, brainstorming, and consensus-building
- A deep respect for deadlines, details, and accuracy
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience across the end-to-end email marketing process
- Familiarity with online media, search, e-commerce, and/or website development
- Experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
- Agency or brand marketing background
