We are looking for an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join our patient rehabilitation team and provide therapy services to patients in their primary residence. The right candidate is a patient, compassionate professional who encourages and inspires their patients to work toward greater independence and recovery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities for Physical Therapist Assistant

• Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of a qualified physical therapist and in accordance with the APTA standards of practice as well as state standards.
• Treat patients to relive pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, functional training, and transfer activities.
• Utilizes physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, ultrasound and massage.
• Maintains necessary records and clinical notes to be incorporated into patient’s clinical record.

Qualifications for Physical Therapist Assistant

• Proven record of treating patients with direct physical therapy care.
• Basic understanding of physical therapy and medical terminology.
• Experience with a wide range of patient age groups and injuries.
• A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook on PT and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible, safe way.

Experience and Education for Physical Therapist

• Experience in providing direct physical therapy to patients in a residential setting or similar environment.
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant license for the state of operation.
