Evolve Healthcare seeks qualified cytotechnologist for a permanent part-time position in West Reading, PA.
Responsibilities:
Performs microscopic examinations. Provides final interpretations of normal gynecological specimens. Provides initial interpretations of non-gynecological, FNA and abnormal gynecological specimens using standardized procedures. Assists in the collection and preparation of FNA and biopsy specimens for immediate evaluation. Understands method principles. Performs quality control and quality assurance activities. Evaluates results based on patient demographics and history. Works independently. Organizes work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.
Qualifications: Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field
Certification and Licensure ASCP Eligible
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and blood sampling techniques
- Experience with immunoassays, assays, and RNA extraction
- Familiarity with CT (computed tomography) scanning techniques is a plus
Base Salary - USD $66,768 to $106,808
