Duties:
- Provide direct care to patients with developmental disabilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement infection control measures to prevent the spread of diseases
- Perform coding and documentation of patient care activities
- Administer ostomy care and assist with wound management
- Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines in nursing practice
- Ensure proper sterilization and processing of medical equipment
- Monitor and ventilate patients as needed
- Perform gastric lavage and other emergency procedures
- Administer IV infusions and medications as prescribed
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of employment
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a registered nurse
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and infection control practices
- Proficiency in coding and documentation in accordance with industry standards
- Familiarity with ostomy care and wound management techniques
- Understanding of sterile processing procedures and equipment handling
- Ability to ventilate patients and perform emergency procedures when necessary
- Competency in administering IV infusions and medications
Note: Travel nurses are expected to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work in various healthcare settings. They must also possess excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
