Evolve Treatment Centers offers cutting-edge outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential treatment programs for teens ages 12 to 17 struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. The Director of IT Strategy and Operations is responsible for the managing of Evolve’s IT environment to assure timely and secure access to the company’s SAAS applications (Salesforce, KIPU and CollaborateMD) and to standard productivity tools such as Office 365. The Director is responsible for the analysis, design, planning, implementation, training and maintenance of all facets of Evolve’s Information Technology environment. They provides direction and solutions that enhance mission-critical operations of the IT department.
They will work closely with the VP of Finance and the Chief Executive Officer in identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. This position provides the strategy, leadership, and day-to-day management of infrastructure, software, hardware, networks, and security. They have the ultimate responsibility of identifying and designing current and future technical solutions. Also will work closely with facility staff to assure that both new and existing facilities have the necessary IT infrastructure for secure and reliable operations and telecommunications.
Objectives and Responsibilities of the Director-
Leadership: Develop and maintains the IT department’s strategic road map, ensuring that information technology capabilities continually support the overall business’s goals and objectives of Evolve.
Creates and implements IT policies and procedures that enable strong security and risk-management capabilities. In this leadership position, they explores new technologies and software as appropriate and oversees the architecture and implementation of ongoing support of the network, server, and communications infrastructure in order to ensure high performance of the IT department.
Oversee the selection and day-to-day management of any external IT support vendors needed to assure continuity of support for Evolve and the ability to scale support as the company grows.
In charge of business continuity and disaster recovery within the department as well as the recommendation and implementation of new investments within the technology infrastructure. He assumes responsibility of oversight of the entire network and system infrastructure ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of security firewalls, sites/software, servers, data and file encryption, and internet connections.
They also play a mentorship role to key leaders at Evolve to assure their understanding and alignment around needed IT processes and procedures. Also helps identify opportunities for Evolve’s staff to better leverage the technology solutions that are routinely used.
Strategy and IT Infrastructure: Play a strategic role in the IT department where they coordinates the selection, implementation, and upgrade of the business’s software/applications and services. Implements and documents a business recovery strategy for the purpose of resuming operations of system architecture in the event of a disaster.
Establish security architecture and implements procedures and controls that ensure that information and data are secure and in compliance with the security and storage regulations of the business, including HIPAA. Also leads the process and team members in the analysis, enhancement, and tailoring of current practices and existing systems in order to increase operating efficiencies as well as reduce and cut costs within the business.
Works to ensure consistency and maintainability of existent infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of well documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions.
Establishes operational and capital budgets in order to address the needs of various areas of the IT department, for example, system infrastructure, security, networks, and databases. He also ensures adherence to overall financial objectives of the business and tracks the annual departmental expenditures and directs the department’s financial needs in conjunction with the financial department.
Analysis: Plays an analytical role where he constantly assesses the effectiveness of the existing sites, software/applications, data, and processes developed by the department. He analyzes complex business requirements and makes recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President of Finance for technical solutions, ensuring that these solutions are aligned with the overall business vision, mission, and direction.
Knowledge: Plays a lead role in the maintenance of knowledge within the IT department, coordinating the implementation of best practices and the adoption of suitable trends. He also keeps track of licensing on all IT related items and upcoming upgrades which may benefit the company.
Other Duties: Perform similar duties as he deems appropriate for the proper execution of his duties and duties as assigned by the Vice President of Finance or the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Location: The position is based in El Segundo, California at Evolve’s corporate headquarters and will require travel as needed to Evolve locations. The Director will typically be in the El Segundo office three to five days per month.
Requirements
Requirements-
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or the equivalent business experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in working experience in a senior IT position within a fast-paced environment supporting a distributed workforce including at-home workers.
- Demonstrate experience with a wide variety of Microsoft productivity and business software (including Azure) and have a proven track record of creative solution delivery and delivery on business needs. Must demonstrate an intimate understanding of network infrastructure technologies, inclusive of security solutions, for example, anti-SPAM and anti-virus technologies.
- Also demonstrate a deep understanding of telecommunications and have vast experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation as well as data storage solutions. Must have expert knowledge in building and leveraging open-source technology.
- Exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal form.
- Must be technologically adept and possess exceptionally good computer skills. Highly knowledgeable in enterprise level Cloud technologies and be competent in defect tracking and agile management tools as well as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune, Adobe Suite, HTML among other tools.
- Must also possess a functional understanding of the SAAS platforms used by Evolve including Salesforce, KIPU and CollaborateMD.
