Position Summary

This role is responsible, with support from the Supply Chain Manager, for driving accountability and improvement in the Evoqua supply base that are consistent with the established quality, delivery, service, and cost guidelines.

This role will be project focused but must also maintain connection to day-to-day activities of the business.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Drive sourcing based on supplier performance :
  • Work with SQM to define a supplier benchmark and assess existing supply base.
  • Calibrate and reduce lead times in order to improve Supplier OTD and reduce on-hand inventory.
  • Source in respect of Total Cost of Ownership, both domestic and international, with Freight / MOQ optimization.
  • Work with Buyers, Planners, and Front-end of business to determine optimized inventory levels
  • Lead Sourcing process for both existing supplier changes, or new product / new suppliers, from project initiation, RFQ, supplier selection, qualification and through delivery of goods
  • Understand and be able to perform Buyer capabilities - MRP & PO execution, Conf Dates, Expedites, general open PO reporting
  • Supply Base Management in the form of supplier relationship management, and supply base rationalization, in order to improve overall performance.
  • Maintain supplier records and files within the relevant company systems.
  • Support monthly reporting requirements relating to procurement activities and KPI's
  • Assist in keeping the workplace a clean and safe environment through the implementation and ongoing 5S and Safety program.

Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :

3 years overall of procurement and sourcing experience

  • Negotiation experience with proven results
  • Project management experience and organizing cross functional teams
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferable in an Engineer-to-Order environment
  • SAP experience, preferably E6 or S4
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with continuous improvements and driving cost savings initiatives

Salary Range : $65,000 - $75,000
