Core Responsibilities and Tasks
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
- Read and follow documented processes
- Check on equipment throughout the shift to ensure equipment is working properly
- Loads and unloads deliveries to and from regional branches
- Operate computer to enter necessary documentation
- Able to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
- Contributes to division results and performance
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
- Operate equipment specific to area such as :
- CARBON : Bag products, samples and test; Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; Switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon;
calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press, run facility wastewater treatment plant
REGEN : Sort bottles by size and resin; Operate forklift to move bottles and materials through plant and on / off trucks;
evacuates bottles, generating resin batches; fills and quality tests SDI products (process SDI product beginning to end).
Position Requirements
1. FORMAL EDUCATION :
Required : High School Diploma or equivalent
2. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :
Required :
- Minimum two years of experience in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of chemicals used in specific process
- Must complete site specific safety training and operator training
- Ability to communicate clearly to team members
- Familiarity with MS Office suites
Site specific requirements :
CARBON : Be able to complete 40-hour hazardous waste operations training
