What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Ewellix?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will be required to learn how to assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
- Attach product labels and mark identifying information on parts
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of actuator units
- Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies as required
- Drill, tap and ream using drill presses and portable power drills
- Follow the safety rules and contribute as a team player
- Any additional task as requested by the organization
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Exposure to factory environment for long periods of time.
- Must have ability to make precisely coordinated movements of fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble very small objects.
- Must have ability to see detail at a close range.
- Must have ability to keep your arm and hand steady while holding hand/arm in one position.
- Lift up to 40 pounds.
- Perform repetitive task.
