Job Summary:
Works in a Repair Depot environment on Printed Circuit Boards, sub-assemblies and other individual parts as required. Operates and maintains digital and analog electronics devices, repairs and troubleshoots assemblies to the module components level. Assists field personnel in a variety of tasks at field sites. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads and interprets complex schematics, part/wire lists, test procedures, engineering manuals, work orders, customer specifications
Diagnoses, locates, troubleshoots malfunction, and repairs as needed
Sets up and operates electronic test equipment to perform complex operational, functional and environmental tests on assemblies and sub-assemblies
Participates in the prevention, detection, and treatment phases of corrosion control, maintains tools, equipment, supplies and kits for adequacy and availability to accomplish the necessary site maintenance
Assists field personnel in the performance of their duties
Performs housekeeping services of all system equipment and associated grounds
Builds cable assemblies and performs other related duties as required
Performs technical and semi-technical tasks not always electronic in natures
Maintains appropriate records and documentation
Performs transportation of personnel, equipment, supplies, and spare parts between the various equipment locations
Provides feedback to supervision and planning on time restraints and productivity goals set by management
Possesses ability to understand verbal instructions to rework, repair, test, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment and PCB's
Minimum Job Requirements:
Two years Associate Degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years' in an electronic or mechanical assembly related industry. Must have through hole and surface mount components soldering skill. Familiar with ESD (Electric Static Discharge) Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments. Must be able to stand for long periods, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to travel and work overtime when needed. Must be a U.S. Citizen
