Job Summary:

Our Company seeks a Senior Pipeline Project Engineer supporting technical and project managerial project needs with focus in pipeline engineering and construction.

The pipeline engineer will be part of a multi-discipline project team ensuring effective and successful execution of natural gas offshore and onshore pipeline projects supporting design, construction, compressor stations, metering skids, pigging facilities, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

• Working within the project team on onshore/offshore feasibility, conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design and EPC phase of the project.
• Reviewing designs to determine whether they are structurally sound and meet engineering standards
• Ensure designs and analyses are performed in compliance with the established latest design rules and standards
• Prepare pipeline material, coating, testing and installation specifications
• Prepare pipeline material requisition, perform technical bid evaluation / analysis and vendor data review
• Participate (and lead where appropriate) in design control and operability meetings such as Design Reviews, Constructability, and HAZID workshop
• Reviewing construction plans to ensure that they meet industry standards for design safety
• Coordinating with contractors to monitor construction progress and resolve problems as they arise
• Identifying unsafe conditions and ordering remediations to ensure the safety of workers
• Overall responsibility for the scheduling and monitoring the quality of the work procedure
• Provides support to or directly overseas fabrications, fit test, and / or system integration testing of installation aids and construction /equipment
• Supports offshore execution of the project during the installation phase and provides technical guidance as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in onshore/offshore pipeline industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Ocean Engineering discipline
• Experience with pipeline design, construction techniques such as welding, excavation, and assembly
• Willingness to travel to job sites
• Proactively engages with Quality and HSES initiatives
• Good understanding of standards and regulations such as API and PHSMA. Ability to research and apply the required codes
• Proven strengths in diverse and multi-cultural environments. Must have the ability to adapt, to establish and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
• Completes assigned work within the allocated schedule and budget while maintaining company quality and safety standards
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role is not expected to have  direct reports, it may require management and supervision of subcontractors..
