What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travelling Medical Assistant position at Excelsia Injury Care?
We are looking for a professional, responsible, and self-motivated medical/chiropractic assistant to join our patient care team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients and escorting to exam rooms
- Answering phones
- Checking patients in and out
- Scanning and uploading paperwork
- Emails
- Helping patients with various therapies and diagnostic procedures
- Communicating with the practice providers in order to appropriately coordinate patient care
- Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality of patient information by complying with HIPAA regulations
- Maintaining appearance of the clinical rooms and therapy station
- Ordering, sorting, and storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms
- Ensuring clinical workflow runs smoothly
- Assisting billing department
- Assisting intake team when needed
- Assisting both chiropractor and medical doctors with various treatment and diagnostic procedures.
Skills required:
- Strong computer and telephone (communication) skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently, and ability to work as part of a team
- Competence with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Sheets, and EHR
