Job Description

The incumbent Sr System Administrator is responsible for the administration, implementation, and architecture of technology solutions for the internal and external customers. The Sr System Administrator will partner directly with cross functional teams and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes that adhere to internal and external policies and frameworks. The Sr Systems Administrator will primarily work with Microsoft, VMware and Hyperconverged platforms and services in a multi-cloud environment.

The Role:

  • Provide systems administration and engineering support for Our client applications and services running in multi-cloud environments with multiple SaaS providers in a majority Windows environment.
  • Oversee Our client Cloud application portfolio including Microsoft M365, Microsoft Azure, and Cisco Cloud
  • Implementation and management of high-profile projects, often concurrently
  • Ensure maximum uptime of Summit's IT assets including, but not limited to, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, HCI, FortiGate Firewalls, Cisco Networking, ERP and related systems, External and Intranet websites, Email Security and Phishing
  • Ensure recoverability of Our client IT assets in accordance with Disaster Recovery objectives
  • Perform regular audits and reviews of security posture and risks in accordance with new and existing policies in collaboration with Our client information security team.
  • Regularly review Our client technology portfolio and recommend solutions or projects to improve performance, reliability, or security
  • Serve as the final escalation point for support requests.
  • Provide infrequent after-hours support and engineering in support of active projects.
  • Collaborate and engage with 3rd party vendors for ongoing support and projects.
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation, including runbooks, diagrams, and knowledgebase articles.
  • Mentoring and information sharing with other members of the IT Team to support collaboration and career growth.

Must Have:

  • B.S in Computer Science or related field, or 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expert Experience with Windows operating systems operating on VMware vSphere and Azure.
  • Experience supporting Windows domain services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy, NPS and Certificate Services.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft M365/O365, and email security technologies such as email security gateways and phishing response platforms
  • Knowledge of backup platforms and procedures in a virtualized environment using platforms such as Azure Site Recovery, Rubrik or Cohesity
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of core datacenter technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, and Cisco networking infrastructure.
  • Intermediate understanding of network technologies and principles.
  • Experience with different cloud technologies and services, including IaaS, SaaS and PaaS cloud services.
  • Experience supporting database systems such as Microsoft SQL, Postgres, and MySQL.
  • Must possess strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Experience automating workflows using PowerShell or other automation and CI tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience working with ITIL frameworks and processes including incident response handling, change management and asset management.

Ideal to Have:

  • Experience with network and application performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Multi-cloud engineering with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles
  • Experience with macOS and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with SaaS based authentication providers such as Okta and Azure Ad ADFS.
  • Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with Print Management services such as Printer Logic

Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
