Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, roll-out and support Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) Emergency Planning (EP) project initiatives at Pacific Fleet Radiological Emergency Planning organizations.
Provide onsite support to the COMPACFLT/COMSUBPAC Radiological Emergency Planning Director during periodic assist visits at six Pacific Fleet Radiological Emergency Planning organizations.
Assist the COMPACFLT/COMSUBPAC Radiological Emergency Planning Director in developing, implementing, and monitoring PACFLT EP organization improvement plans.
Assist the COMPACFLT/COMSUBPAC Radiological Emergency Planning Director’s evaluations of training and exercise events impacting nuclear powered warships at six Pacific Fleet Radiological Emergency Planning organizations.
Provide development support to NNPP EP corporate projects.
Research and document equipment and training requirements associated with damage control response onboard submarine tenders.
Develop and coordinate response procedures for all—hazard events that may impact nuclear powered warships at six Pacific Fleet Radiological Emergency Planning organizations.
Draft directives related to NNPP EP programs as directed.
Education, Knowledge and Skill Requirements
The position requires extensive experience in NNPP emergency planning at Naval Shipyards and Fleet sites; excellent Interpersonal skills; familiarity with the MS Office software suite; and experience on Navy Echelon II or III Command staffs.
Additional Requirements:
Obtaining and maintaining a SECRET Security Clearance and access to NNPI and Restricted Data is a requirement for this position.
