Role Overview: We are looking for a go getter person who can define:Analytic strategies to meet the demands of business requirementsTechnical requirements of the analytic solutionsData requirements of the analytic solution processesThe person will be part of the Data Science team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders as SME for data engineeringEngages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new solutionsA typical work day will involve working with stakeholders in individual contributor.A suitable candidate should have 5-8 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity.Experience in insurance preferred but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities & Skillsets: Common Skillsets:4 years of experience in analytics ETL, Python and associated data engineering jobs.Experience with AWS services like – Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, RDS (Preferred)Excellent communication & presentation skillsExperience in managing Python codes and collaborating with customer on model evolutionGood knowledge of data base management and SQL, Python (expertise), Good to have- Hadoop/Spark, HIVESuperior analytical and problem solving skillsShould be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervisionGood communication skill for client interactionData Management Skillsets:Ability to understand data models and identify ETL optimization opportunities. Exposure to ETL tools is preferred Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply Strong and in-depth understanding of DE Fundamentals Data analysis experience Superior analytical and problem solving skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges What we offer:   EXL Analytics offers an exciting, fast paced and innovative environment, which brings together a group of sharp and entrepreneurial professionals who are eager to influence business decisions.
