Our HR Office Administrator has the opportunity to learn and be involved in various aspects of HR within the company. This position contributes to employee retention, safety and productivity by supporting leadership, supervisors, salaried and hourly employees. We are looking for someone that will prioritize attracting and recruiting candidates to fill openings for our manufacturing facility located in North Kansas City. The HR Office Administrator will supervise one facility HR Assistant and report to the President. Our Corporate HR team also provides supports to this position. The right person will possess a thorough knowledge of HR best practices and the ability to balance and fulfill the responsibilities of this HR role. This is a day shift position but the HR Office Administrator and the HR Assistant manage their schedule to meet the needs of all shifts. There is a lot of flexibility to what this looks like but is essential to the position. We pride ourselves in knowing all 100 of our employees.
- Pay: $45K-65K DOE
- $3,000 sign on bonus that pays out over the first year.

What are the primary responsibilities for the HR Office Administrator?
- Reinforce company values: Safety, Respect, Integrity, Improve, Results, Service. Places Safety ahead of all other metrics.
- Employee life cycle – Attract and recruit applicants, onboard, retain, develop and separation with the primary focus spent on hourly manufacturing positions.
- Building positive relationships
- Supervise and support one HR Assistant.

- New hire orientation, open enrollment, biometrics, and other benefit support
- Event planning
- Advise and collaborate with supervisors, managers, and leadership on matters relating to organizational policies, disciplinary procedures, performance management.
- Time management support
- Prepare and maintain employment records utilizing UKG Pro.
- Ensure compliance to COVID related policies by working with Corporate HR.
What are the physical & work requirements?
- Valid driver's license is needed.
- Office environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- May be required to perform duties in various locations on company property (office, plant breakroom, parts room, etc.)
What are the required background, competencies & expertise requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Experience recruiting, posting jobs, interviewing candidates, and hiring successful long-term employees.
- Demonstrate critical thinking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as active listening skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Background, Competencies & Expertise:
- HR experience in a manufacturing, multi-shift facility
