Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the MEP Plumbing Team, based in Raleigh, North Carolina and have the opportunity to work on the designing plumbing systems for Science & Technology projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Understand, layout, and size the fundamental plumbing systems: storm, sanitary, vent, water, and gas.
- Perform load calculations
- Design systems based on NC Code
- Route plumbing systems and size appropriately
- Prepare schedules, details, and fixture and equipment specifications
- Understand the scope of SD, DD, CD level documents and be able to prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate level
- Ability to manage and deliver revisions (ASI’s, etc) and sketches according to proper numbering convention
- Coordinate with architect and owner project requirements
- Coordinate with vendors
What your experience looks like
- Ability to think in a 3D simulated environment
- 4 years’ minimum experience in plumbing design, wanting to begin or expand their experience in the plumbing engineering field.
- Strong REVIT MEP experience.
- Having Fire Protection Design and Medical Gas Design is a plus
- Engineering (BS Architectural Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree) is a plus.
- Great communication skills.
- EIT is a plus.
