** Hiring professional for Procurement / Purchasing specailist role - Remote position either located in San Francisco, Dallas or Denver**
Description:
* Act on behalf of WAM Engineering overseeing our engagements with vendors
* Act as point for the WAM Engineering Technology teams as they engage with vendors
* Serve as a point of contact for direction on vendor engagements, and respond to support enquiries
* Engage with STS teams including STS finance to ensure funding is available
* Work closely with our vendor management teams when WAM Engineering engages in a new agreement (specifically Work Orders), and act as point person to ensure Master Services and Professional Services agreements are appropriately setup
* Once agreements are signed, ensure that Purchase Orders are submitted timely
* Assist in resolving invoice issues
* Assist in ensuring that work orders are appropriately ended with staff rolling off timely, or in extending agreements
* Assist other members of the team in performing analysis of vendor engagements
* Assist with creation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as needed
* Improve the existing processes internal to WAM Engineering and how they interact with VMO processes. Identify and eliminate non-value add processes.
* Setup vendor review meeting with all levels of our vendors and include technology managers
* As time permits assist WAM Engineering managers with department financials.
Required minimum qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (or a combination of equivalent education/experience)
* 3 years of experience in the Financial/vendor management/procurement role preferably in Financial Services industry or in an IT department
* Demonstrated experience in engaging with vendors and overseeing engagements
* Experience interfacing with various partners, including executive leadership, vendors, offshore vendors, and internal groups with varying degrees of vendor engagement experience and knowledge
* Ability to effectively handle multiple, competing, high-priority items with varying deadlines
* Experience synthesizing metrics and developing management reporting
* Strong skills in oral and written communication to varying levels of management
* Proven ability to build strong partnerships across business and technology teams
* Strong interpersonal, analytical, influencing, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills
* Highly organized and able to manage many tasks at once
* Able to work independently, seeking guidance at appropriate times
