Role
As a Power Apps Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications and database infrastructure for data collection in order to support cross functional teams in the Construction Organization - Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain advanced applications developed using Microsoft's Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, & Power Automate/Microsoft Flow).
- Optimize and refactor existing or novel Power Apps code to improve application performance and user experience.
- Development of automation solutions using Power Automate to increase application functionality and reduce manual processes.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate into technical specifications, prototypes, work timelines, and end state products.
- Optimize data systems and/or build them from the ground up to support our data initiatives, increase operational efficiency, and improve collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Quality Engineers, and various cross functional team members to design, build, test, and maintain analytics solutions.
Requirements
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, or another related discipline. Additional technical certifications are a plus
- Must have a solid understanding of Data Models and Project Logic.
- Highly proficient at developing with MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate/ MS Flow, & Power BI)
- Experienced with Microsoft Dataverse is desired skill for storing and managing data that's used by business applications.
- Experience with Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using Microsoft's Solutions containerization is a plus.
- Experience developing Power Apps canvas driven apps with best practices (collections, delegation, components, version control, code documentation, etc.)
- Advanced SQL / DAX / MDX / Power Query knowledge and in-depth RDBMS development experience is nice to have.
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing and Multidimensional Data Modeling is desired.
- A successful history of integrating source systems and delivering self-serve Business Intelligence.
- Experience in web application development, including Implementing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Object Oriented Programming and Design (OOP&D), Object Relational Mapping (ORM)
- Experience and knowledge in back-end and front-end: SQL Server, HTML, .NET, Python, REST services, JSON, M query, MDX, SSAS, etc.
- Utilizing Dax or MDX query when working with Power BI is highly desired.
- Self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of cross functional teams, systems, and products in a high-pressure environment
- Experience analyzing and documenting business processes
- Passion for learning & results oriented
- A solid understanding of construction cost control would be a major advantage
- Microsoft Power Apps Dynamics 365 Developer Certification is a plus
- Experience creating PowerShell scripts is a plus
