Experience and Critical Skills:
- Work experience in Biopharma, Life Sciences, Nutrition, Food & Beverage or similar regulated industry
- Experience of implementing sourcing and procurement strategies and following written policies and procedures
- Experience in end to end procurement life cycle from sourcing to receipt of delivered goods and services
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Exceptional influencing, persuading and negotiating skills
- Accurate attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Goal-oriented, organized team player with strong administrative skills

Must have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in accounting, business management or a similar field preferred or 5 years experience as a Procurement Officer in Design, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing (Food & Beverage, Nutrition, Biopharma) or similar industry as equivalent
- 2 years of experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar position
- BS or MS in Engineering, Biotechnology, Business or related field
- Experience with Equipment Sourcing and Purchase
- Experience in developing user manuals, protocols and SOPs
- Good written English for reading and writing protocols and journal articles
- Knowledgeable in MS Office suite, CAD an advantage.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
- Establish and enforces a written company procurement policy
- Support Project Team for all sourcing, procurement, purchasing and rental related activities
- Works with project team to define sourcing/procurement needs and researches, evaluates and qualifies potential vendors/suppliers/partners
- Negotiates contracts, payment terms and maintains good supplier relationships
- Reviews and compares all potential purchases to ensure they meet cost, safety, quality and delivery requirements prior to purchase
- Prepares plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies providing early detection of long lead time items ensuring they are procured just or before when required
- Reconcile or resolve order discrepancies with suppliers
- Monitor delivery times to ensure they are on time
- Maintains and periodically updates supplier information such as qualification status, lead time, pricing, performance etc.
- Manages inventory and maintains accurate purchase records
- Control and monitor expenses against project budget escalating immediately any deviations from approved budget
- Perform Lab and Pilot Plant Equipment Sourcing (all types, websites etc.)
- Perform or assist in equipment analysis and purchase
- Prepare Technical and Commercial comparative analysis
- Perform actual inspections and quality checks
- Purchase, Track and Accept deliver
