Work with a global automotive supplier with over 100 manufacturing facilities throughout US, Canada and Mexico, located in Spartanburg, SC. With a plant expansion nearly tripling its current size, we are looking for a to support the growing team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment of books of accounts for the division including sales/receivables, purchases/payables/payments, fixed assets, general ledger, taxes and financial statements.
- Receipt and reconciliation of all OEM customer payments, debt, and credit memo discrepancies, and irreconcilable items.
- Contact customers for all escalated OEM collection issues, debit, and credit memo discrepancies, and irreconcilable items.
- Prepare month-end closing activities, analyses and quarterly schedules as required to adequately document the financial position of fuel systems
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the division’s ability to monitor profitability on a product-by-product basis
- Create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment
- Maintain compliance with MAFACT and required certifications including but not limited to, IAFT16949 and ISO 14001.
- Responsible for 5S within the plant and daily housekeeping
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the needs of the company
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
- CPA preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting
- 1-3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Must have strong understanding of US-GAAP
- Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must possess high sense of urgency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- ERP system experience, preferably SAP
- Excellent negotiation, relationship building and confronting skills.
