Trissential is currently seeking a Scrum Master to coach, facilitate, train, and mentor cross functional IT and business teams on a enterprise wide scaled agile transformation in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and organize all Scrum activities including daily Scrum meetings, sprint and release planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide and coach the team on Scrum and Agile practices to improve overall velocity and achieve objectives.
- Coordinate the resolution of impediments across organizational boundaries.
- Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example.
- Assess agile maturity of the team; Coach project team to reach higher levels of maturity through continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain release burn downs, velocity projections and project forecasts for project visibility and to ensure timely decision-making.
- Work with Product Owner to document acceptance criteria, perform backlog grooming, and prioritize features/user stories.
- Foster an agile mindset within individuals, teams, and organizations to help them better meet their goals.
- Coach across different stages of an organization’s agile journey, from introductory training and coaching to continuously improving high-performing teams.
- Coach at varying levels of scale, from embedding within a single team to creating cohesion and alignment across an entire organization.
- Work across the organization to help design and implement an effective Agile Transition for the business
- Responsible for mentoring/coaching IT and business teams in a collaborative environment focused on achieving the effective Agile Transition.
- Spinning up new teams and putting structures in place to assure their success
- Agnostic approach to lean and Agile frameworks, helping teams to choose their ways of working based on their environment and challenges
- Implement effective governance, escalation and reporting
- Recommend improvements and drive adoption of best practices
Skills
- Executive level presence and communication skills
- Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
- Design Thinking
- Thorough understanding of agile principles, values and processes
- Experience working at an organizational level to define what Agile means for the Enterprise
- High emotional intelligence and mature soft skills
- Ability to work with strong stakeholders and to demonstrate strength and certainty to them
Experience
Must Have:
- 5 years experience of working in Agile environments
- Agile/scrum/waterfall methodologies development and large scale program management
- Coaching team members and partners on agile and scrum methodology
- Working with enterprise architecture environments
- Gathering requirements and developing scope, artifacts, and roadmaps
- Managing ways of working across internal and external teams.
