We are seeking a seasoned Senior Scrum Master who will work to help design and implement an effective Agile Transformation for our clients. This position will be Hybrid, with required onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will serve as a servant leader, removing impediments and ensuring the team's success and timely delivery. You will facilitate clear communication between the team and management. Our Scrum Masters are open, approachable, collaborative, and enjoy working with people. You will guide cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products swiftly using Agile/Scrum principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster an agile mindset within individuals, teams, and the organization to help achieve their goals
- Coach teams at various stages of their agile journey, from introductory training to continuously improving high-performing teams
- Provide coaching at different levels of scale, from supporting a single team to creating cohesion across the organization
- Collaborate across the organization to design and implement an effective Agile Transition
- Mentor and coach IT and business teams in a collaborative environment focused on achieving an effective Agile Transition
- Establish new teams and implement structures to ensure their success
- Utilize demand management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.) to manage team workloads and provide visualization and reporting
- Maintain an agnostic approach to lean and Agile frameworks, helping teams choose their working methods based on their environment and challenges
- Implement effective governance, escalation, and reporting mechanisms
- Recommend improvements and drive the adoption of best practices
- Organize and facilitate planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, meet high-quality standards, and fulfill stakeholder expectations.
- Proactively manage project risks and issues, providing solutions and escalating when necessary
- Promote continuous improvement within the team by motivating, coaching, acting as a change agent, and optimizing workflow
- Manage the Scrum team, including resource assignment, project planning, and milestone setting
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience
- Scrum/Agile certifications: ICAgile trainer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Safe and/or Kanban
- Agile/scrum/waterfall methodologies development and large-scale program management
- Experience implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices
- Scrum framework and Kanban methods
- Gathering requirements and developing scope, artifacts, and roadmaps
- Experience coaching IT and Business teams
- Mentoring and coaching skills/experience
- Experience of establishing new teams
- Ability to orchestrate multiple teams and manage
- 5 years’ experience in team level agile transitions
- 7 years’ experience of working in Agile environments

- Azure DevOps Boards
- Experience of working with multiple scaled Agile approaches
Essential skills
- Executive level presence and ability to coach and mentor multiple teams
- Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

- Skilled in planning, preparing and leading meetings
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
- Proven ability to present and communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
- Willing to work in a hybrid model, with three days per week in the office
Benefits
Trissential offers competitive compensation package for full time roles. The pay range for this role is $135,000 to $150,000 annually based on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; 3 weeks PTO, and 401k retirement savings.
