Job description
Express Employment is looking for a Auto Body Technician for one of our clients. The Auto Body Technician is responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing damaged vehicle bodies and frames. They utilize their expertise in bodywork, paint application, and welding techniques to ensure vehicles are restored to their pre-accident condition. The Auto Body Technician works in collaboration with other team members in a fast-paced and dynamic automotive repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle inspections to assess the extent of damage and develop repair plans.
- Repair or replace damaged vehicle parts, including body panels, doors, fenders, hoods, and bumpers.
- Straighten bent frames and ensure proper alignment of vehicle components.
- Remove and install glass components, such as windshields and windows.
- Weld and repair damaged metal structures using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Fill, sand, and prime vehicle surfaces to prepare them for painting.
- Mix and match paint colors to ensure accurate color matching.
- Apply paint coatings using spray guns, ensuring an even and smooth finish.
- Buff, polish, and wax vehicle surfaces to restore shine and smoothness.
- Inspect completed repairs for quality and ensure all work meets industry standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bilingual
- 2 years minimum experience
- Valid drivers license
Schedule- Mon- Fri - 8:00 - 6:00
Pay- $16.00 - $20.00 DOE
Location- Harlingen TX
