Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Responsible for allocating merchandise to stores based upon an established plan in conjunction with the current sales trends. Monitor product availability, analyze size and color selling. Communicates with the Store Planner, Assortment Planner, and Financial Merchandise Planner the unit position of each floor set and highlights any concerns.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Allocate merchandise utilizing the pre-determined allocation strategy.
- Review, analyze and make recommendations to adjust allocation plans incorporating sales trends.
- Monitor and react to store and region selling by class, style, size, etc. and escalate variances in actuals compared to plans to Assortment Planning and Merchandising.
- Monitor availability of product and achieve weekly pre-allocation percent targets.
- Develop plans and allocate inventory for new stores/remodel stores.
- Provide accurate information as it relates to total company initiatives; floor sets, New stores, etc.
- Ad-hoc reporting as necessary.
- Other essential tasks that are not listed may be requested by your supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or additional years of service considered in lieu of degree.
- 2 years of business, planning, or allocation experience preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
- Analytical, computer, and Microsoft Office (Excel) skills strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Sense of urgency and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
