What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Inside Account Manager position at Extreme Networks?

Our Service Sales Specialists are responsible for quoting and selling service contract renewals, professional services, training and upselling other Service offers for a specified territory.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain partnerships with Sales and the Channel
- Create and maintain direct customer relationships
- Serve as the central point of contact for the assigned territory and drive/assist the field sales staff in attaining their monthly/quarterly/annual service renewal quota
- Evaluate monthly and quarterly opportunities in Salesforce; ensure Salesforce is accurate and kept up to date; and provide accurate forecasts. Provide proactive notification of forecast changes.
- Edit automated service quotes and ensure serial numbers and in-process RMA’s are accurately reflected. Update configurations for customers and partners as well as facilitate any special pricing requests, deal registration requests, and required approvals
- Cross sell and upsell services into existing customer base to create incremental pipeline and revenue
- Act as a liaison with all departments to close renewal deals quickly and ensure ease of doing business with Extreme
- Manage all service contracts for customers in the assigned territory
- On-going maintenance and upkeep of Salesforce service data within your assigned territory
- Educate customer and partner community on company events, product releases, sales campaigns, and news with monthly outreach
- Some travel required, up to but not limited to15% of calendar time
- Self-motivated and goal oriented to meet and exceed quarterly quotas
Requirements:
- Business experience preferably in a Customer Support or Sales Support role.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Comfortable calling on clients at the CXO level
- Have a desire to pursue a career in Sales utilizing Consultative Sales techniques
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, team environment
- Inside Sales, Pre-Sales support preferred
- Interest and knowledge of software/hardware technologies preferred
- Experience with Computer Networking technologies a bonus
- Possess energetic and enthusiastic demeanor
- Experience with CRM / SalesForce.com helpful
- BS/BA preferred
- Able to travel up to 25%
