The Director of EHS is responsible for facilitating the
Company objectives of maintaining an 'Incident Free Workplace'
in a construction environment, promoting safety awareness, and
ownership. Promotes the Company's Core Values pertaining to
construction Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and assist
with communication to all personnel. Develops and assists with
the implementation of construction safety programs to prevent
or correct unsafe working conditions. This position can be
located in Plano, TX, Chandler, AZ, Albany, NY or Raleigh,
NC.
- Maintenance and implementation of the corporate EHS management system to ensure legislative compliance.
- Maintenance and implementation of ISO 45001 certification requirements.
- Acts as an advisor on construction EHS issues to TFS leadership teams.
- Assists in implementation of the global EHS behavioral program.
- Ensures that the Company's EHS core values are always aligned and adhered to.
- Plans and manages the EHS risk assessment register.
- Manages and monitors EHS performance and programs and conducts analysis on performance and trends delivering a monthly leadership report with recommendations for improvement.
- Conducts training needs analysis and ensure adequate project EHS training is facilitated.
- Conducts EHS evaluations on a quarterly cycle using the OneEHS database accordance with corporate procedures. Maintains and manages a TFS EHS audit program.
- Investigates all recordable and serious near miss events, advises corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence, and assists in reports preparation with project leadership.
- Reports and liaises with management, relevant authorities on incident occurrences.
- Maintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizations.
- Manages, coaches and mentors project EHS employee in their region
- Assists in maintaining, reviewing, and improving corporate EHS Management System ensuring that annual management review is conducted.
- Maintain, ensure, timely and accurate input of data in OneEHS database.
- Assists in preparation of EHS tender documents and statistics for projects.
- Assists in EHS evaluation of contracts and maintains a register of past performance.
- Manage the corporate EHS goals and deliver a strategy to assist in achieving them
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or an applied science field preferred
- Professional Certifications/License required:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- 15 years of EHS experience
- 5 years in a senior EHS role
- Senior role with a direct hire, self-perform construction contractor required.
- Senior role with a direct hire union mechanical contractor preferred.
- Experience as a Project EHS Manager supporting direct hire of craft employees required.
- Experience constructing Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) and/or Biopharma and Life Sciences (BLS) facilities preferred
- This position can be in Plano, TX, Chandler, AZ, Albany, NY or Raleigh, NC.
