The Opportunity
EY's Government and Public Sector (GPS) is on the lookout for a dedicated AR cash application Associate. This position reports directly to the GPS Billing Leader and focuses on the day-to-day operations of the GPS cash application function to ensure all cash received from GPS bank accounts is applied correctly to outstanding invoices.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will :
Review daily bank file and accurately record cash receipts in Costpoint
Maintain organized and detailed records to support all cash transactions
Respond to all cash related inquiries and collaborate with GPS departments and other stakeholders
Allocate each cash payment to the corresponding outstanding invoice on the AR aging using the Deltek Costpoint manage cash receipts application
Maintain and oversee any unapplied cash, investigate and resolve any reconciling variances with clients, billing staff, project finance staff, General Ledger, and Treasury
Generate daily cash receipts edit reports for review and posting by the billing lead in Costpoint
Correctly assign cash receipts to the relevant GPS entity org and GL cash account
Execute write-off entries for irrecoverable balances. Make necessary cash receipt entries for any interest, discount, or short payment
Represent the cash receipt application department at AR aging meetings
Ensure compliance with GPS internal policies and procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned
Ability to collaborate with a diverse and geographically distributed team
Effective multitasking and prioritization capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payment applications
Proficiency in GL concepts of debits and credits related to cash receipt posting
Strong analytical skills applicable to financial and data analysis
Familiarity with FAR 32.905 Payment documentation and process
Experience
An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting, accounts receivable, and cash applications experience in a Deltek Costpoint environment
Ability to secure a government security clearance
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have
Experience with accounts receivable cash applications using Deltek Costpoint and Cognos BI reports
Proficiency in analyzing and researching various clients' web portals for invoice payment status
Strong command of Excel and other Microsoft Office products

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $50,000 to $88,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $60,000 to $100,000.
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
