- Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
With the emergence and promise of software defined networking, automation, elastic cloud computing, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the need for introduction of new networking technology into the enterprise environment is accelerating. To keep pace with the growth, we have a unique opportunity open up for a global leader of our Next Generation Networks team. In this role you will be responsible for managing full lifecycle activities of new networking products and services that are needed to meet today and tomorrow's business and technology needs of the firm.
Your key responsibilities
- The role requires you to be responsible for investigating, selecting, and driving the development of next generation networking products with end-to-end accountability for product ownership. You will have profit and loss responsibilities for products in your portfolio, ensuring that they meet user, market and business demands while supporting the organization’s overall strategy and goals.
- You will communicate the vision and goals, identify new products and features to create growth opportunities, drive strategy development, establish priorities and manage the roadmap using criteria and requirements defined during research.
- You will execute the product plan, collaborating with engineering and other teams.
- You will develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
- You will anticipate changes in market dynamics /models, adapts products, and creates product retirement and transitioning strategies.
- You will manage the lifecycle of your products including market requirements, product release plans, user stories, release criteria, product launch, and organizational readiness activities.
- You will collaborate with user experience, business analysts and engineers with a focus on defining product functionality and designing solutions that bring differentiating value to our customers.
- You will provide regular updates about product direction and release plans to the senior stakeholders and clients.
- You will be responsible for planning, management and delivery of all team management related activities
Skills and attributes for success
We are interested in people with a deep and broad networking background, who bring in experience working in large enterprise environments, performing team lead and product management role. As a successful candidate you will have leadership experience in being part of a fast-paced team that is building and supporting complex network landscapes including knowledge of ITIL framework, processes and best practices. These experiences include:
- Capability to help enterprises structure, plan, estimate, deliver, deploy and operate the software, services, cloud, hardware and network infrastructures supporting a secure integrated enterprise architecture. Some examples include: IoT network and security for “Smart Offices”; SD-WAN solution for global enterprises; Adoption of Public IaaS and SaaS cloud providers including Microsoft O365; Develop enterprise strategies for DDoS mitigation and IPv6.
- Management of all aspects of infrastructure from architecture and provisioning to various run-time scenarios and ongoing maintenance.
- Develop, define and deploy a governance model for overseeing innovation investments, performance, risk management and policy changes required to enable innovation to thrive.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the assessment, design, employment and maintenance of the processes, org designs, SLA's, contracting arrangements and other management tools used to manage and achieve organizational targets of a Corporate organization.
- Communicate effectively across a variety of mediums (e.g. story boards, videos, etc.) and incorporate emotional intelligence in delivery to bolster creativity. Understand how to display brilliant ideas so they resonate with the target audience in a clear, less overwhelming way.
- Within Financial Planning and Analysis, capability to select, drive, and monitor progress of prioritized projects within a greater portfolio of opportunities in order to achieve strategic objectives with the largest impact to the business.
- Capability to define the overall business case for a large technology shift including overall economics, performance expectations, major sensitivity drivers, and key risk areas.
- Define metrics leveraging industry-aligned business models, leading-edge metrics and KPI's which are aligned to the business environment.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Ability to design and facilitate a team development process with the intention of establishing a deeper level of trust among team members, encouraging and supporting productive conflict, achieving clarity and closure on critical decisions, embracing accountability for every team member and focusing on collective outcomes.
- Improve team performance and team dynamics by providing expertise in team diagnostics, team behaviors, digital collaboration tools and technologies, and characteristics of high performing teams.
- Inclination to develop strong relationships with diverse stakeholders by anticipating needs, collaborating across teams, fostering commitment and asking for feedback. Cultivate internal and external networks and leverage them to connect stakeholders with subject-matter specialists. Find the right cadence with stakeholders to become a trusted business advisor.
- Effective listening skills and display openness to other people's ideas and thoughts.
- Skills to present complex and difficult messages, using a variety of media and methods across non-technical and technical audiences.
- English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to understand and integrate cultural and/or individual differences to work in virtual cross-cultural, cross-border global teams.
- Flexibility to work out of regular office hours to cater to the global organization needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in performing technical work of complex difficulty across various aspects of network technology infrastructure design and implementations.
- 20 years in the networking industry which includes at least last 10 years in a team lead and product management function.
