What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident in Counseling / Clinical Supervisor position at EZETT Youth & Family Services?
DESCRIPTION:
The Resident will be responsible for assisting the LPC in the operation of IIH, Crisis, and Outpatient therapy programs. The Resident will conduct clinical assessments of prospective clients under the supervision of the LPC. The Resident will conduct intake proceedings of new clients. The individual must be a Resident in Counseling with the Virginia’s Department of Health Professions, Board of Counseling.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
Assist with the implementation of daily program structure.
Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses utilizing the DSM under the supervision of the LPC.
Provide treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma related concerns and other assessed areas to children and adults under the supervision of the LPC
Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to children and adults under the supervision of the LPC
Participate in Assessment, Treatment, and Discharge of cases.
Maintain documentation.
Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Conduct supervision and case monitoring of QMHP
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s degree in the field of human services and two years of successful work experience in the field of institutional management, social work, education or other allied discipline or a graduate degree in a profession related to childcare and development. Must be eligible to register or be a registered Resident with the Virginia Board of Counseling.
The Board of counseling may consider other degrees in human services or in fields related to the provision of mental health services.
