Job Title: Punch Press Operator Reports To: Production Supervisor
Department: Punch Press
Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Lubricates parts in accordance with work instructions.
- Operates punch press to perform desired operations.
- Reads routers, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine dimensional specifications and operating requirements.
- Dimensionally and visually inspects parts produced to ensure meets customer requirements.
- Performs required preventative maintenance procedures on assigned presses within specified time frames.
- Ensure that all preventative maintenance is performed in department in accordance with PM schedule.
- Keep work area clean at all times following 5S methods.
Education and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School diploma or GED, some vocational training is preferred; 0-2 years of demonstrated experience for Level 1 Punch Press Operator, 2-5 years of demonstrated experience for Level 2 Punch Press Operator, 5 or more years of demonstrated experience for Level 3 Punch Press Operator.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Forklift operator certified preferred.
