COLLECTIONS MGR

Description

The Collections Manager oversees the collection of delinquent accounts to secure payments by locating customers, proposing alternative payment plans, repossessing collateral, assisting in foreclosures, and obtaining judgments. The Collections Manager will also assist in managing other real estate owned (OREO) properties.

· Knowledge of laws and guidelines pertaining to bankruptcy and repossession. 

· Possess effective interpersonal skills to relate to all audiences. 

· Proficient organization skills with ability to function in a flexible work environment. 

· Proficient PC skills to include MS Office software. 

· Ability to communicate effectively orally and/or in writing. 

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. 

· Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries. 

· Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time with attention to detail. 

· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. 

· Ability to work independently. 

· Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.

· Ability to maintain composure under pressure while working with difficult customers. 

Education and/or Experience (Required and Preferred) 

Preferred: 

· Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in financial or financial-related field; 

· One-year related experience; 

· Equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: 

· Current driver’s license.

Work Environment: 

· Work is primarily performed in an office setting where the noise level is usually moderate. 

· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Hours: 

This is a fulltime, non-exempt position working Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. with overtime as necessary.

Travel: 

Travel is primarily within the Bank’s market areas during the business day.

Salary : $21 - $28
