Position Overview :
This position description covers loan processing positions for Direct, Indirect or Small Business Lending.This position is primarily responsible for initial and later stage processing of credit applications originated by consumers and small businesses within the Bank’s delivery channels or directly through dealer channels.
The incumbent works through the applicable loan origination system and completes a variety of tasks to facilitate final loan outcomes delivering the highest quality of service to customers and branch personnel.
Primary Responsibilities :
Processes all applications coming into the loan origination system from consumers and small businesses within the Bank’s delivery channels via the branches, direct mail or the web or directly through dealer channels.
Analyzes, reviews, corrects and compiles credit, collateral and compliance related file documentation.
Prepares loan applications in both pre-closing and post-closing phases. Serves as branch contact to obtain vital missing application information or corrective application information.
Serves as dealer contact and provides supplies such as contracts, drafts, insurance forms and other forms as needed.
Orders required loan reports, such as property searches, flood collateral evaluations, etc. and reviews received reports for accuracy and completeness.
Develops seamless processing partnership with credit underwriters to achieve better turnaround time on applications and greater overall customer satisfaction.
Assists in properly monitoring internal department electronic mailboxes for incoming information that is essential for continued application processing.
Maintains knowledge of all currently offered loan products, rates and processing procedures.
Receives sufficient training to be able to offer assistance in other areas of the department during periods of high volumes or absenses.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
