Franklin Templeton Global Travel Services is responsible for managing and facilitating business-related travel arrangements for employees within the company.
We focus on policy compliance, travel technology, risk management, reporting and analysis, vendor management, communication, and support.
By efficiently managing these aspects, we help ensure that business travel is organized, cost-effective, and aligns with our company's overall objectives.
What is the Senior Travel Advisor responsible for?
The Senior Travel Advisor is responsible for accurately and efficiently handling incoming requests via multiple channels (phone, email, chat, etc.
and providing consultation on all travel details and destination requirements.
This position performs at an expert / senior level and demonstrates an extensive understanding and applicability of all areas in the travel industry.
This position is a non-exempt hourly position.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Travel Advisor?
- Book corporate travel reservations for FTI employees and clients with an emphasis on Executive support
- Providing navigational support of the company’s online booking tool, Concur
- Provide details of all travel and destination requirements or restrictions
- Ensure that traveler profiles are complete and up to date
- Confirm that all proposed travel itineraries comply with Franklin Templeton Global Travel Policy
- Obtain Global Travel Policy exception approval when necessary
- Confirm the traveler’s documentation is valid (i.e., passports, visas, etc.)
- Notify employees of international vaccination requirements and update documentation as required
- Handle unforeseen issues (schedule changes, cancellations, etc.)
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes
- Work independently on requests
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate travel environment inclusive of experience arranging complex international travel reservations
- Extensive knowledge of Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS)
- Expertise of the Concur Travel online booking system
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and support skills
- Solid ability to research and resolve problems, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills : Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
- Successful at cultivating and maintaining interpersonal relationships and collaboration
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
- Well versed in various areas of travel, both domestic and international
- Ability to present and communicate effectively with all levels of the or Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
- Must be able to work in a self-directed environment
- West Coast time zone. This is a remote position.
