Telecom Technician/Administrator-Avaya - Boston, MA
Our client has an immediate requirement for an Onsite Telecom Technician/Administrator who has strong experience with Avaya phone systems.
This will be a 12 month contract to start with potential for extension.
Skill set and experience should include:
- High level job requirements are MACDs, dept moves, Communications Mgr and Aura messaging programming, working with various models of IP, SIP, digital, analog, conference phones, accessories, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Remote set up of softphones 1XCommunicator and 1XAgent, Windows 10 platform installs and working with remote support staff via programs like Zoom, RDC/RDP, Gotoassist, Bomgar, including call center agents, and business users.
- Knowledge of peripheral systems such as Media gateways, MG430, MG450, G650 cabinets and Overhead paging interfaces.
- Able to wire and understand multi-pair feeder cables and crosswire/patching of telecom station cabling (cat3, cat5e, cat 6) with various termination hardware, jacking, toning, testing circuits on a city campus environment (18 bldgs).
- Working knowledge of data networks and working with integrated Network & Systems teams.
