Social Media Intern Country: United States of America WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Social Media Intern to join and support all things social for the Omni-Channel Media team within the Digital Marketing Department at Santander. The intern will dive into the world of Social Media Marketing (SMM) with hands-on experience in executing engaging campaigns across our established social platforms (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn). This 2023 Summer Internship is a 10-week program for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and May 2025. What You’ll Do: Create, schedule, and publish content across all our social media platforms Monitor social media trends and analytics to help optimize our content and engagement Assist in managing comments and messages on our social media pages to foster engagement and community building Contribute creative ideas and collaborate with our team on developing social media campaigns Support the creation of various multimedia content such as videos, infographics, and animated images Conduct research on current financial industry market trends in SMM Who You Are: Undergraduate student with a graduation date between December 2024 and May 2025 Majoring in Marketing, Communications, or a related field Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above Excellent writing and communication skills Creativity and an eye for design Familiarity with social media platforms and tools (Sprinklr, Brandwatch, etc.) Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced market environment Solid work ethic, both professionally and personally Capable of working independently and in a diverse, inclusive team environment Working Conditions: Extended working hours may be required based on business needs May need to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 20 pounds Extended periods of computer use may be required with repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard Diversity & EEO Statements: At Santander, we value and respect differences in our workforce and strive to increase the diversity of our teams. Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
