You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and commissioning new innovative solutions in this role. You will provide technical engineering direction. Work shall include the development of models and drawings, preliminary analysis, design review presentations, and support for manufacturing and operations. Depending on the project type, this can vary from participating in conceptual design ideas to revisions to existing designs and modifications to existing structures. You will also be responsible for planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects. You must be able to successfully interface with customers and manage the completion of tasks on schedule and within budget to the customer's satisfaction.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Plan, conceptualize and create electromechanical designs.
- Execute DFMEAs & PFMEAs, to plan and lead the testing to ensure a successful product development.
- Analyze, modify, and customize original parts to adapt the final product to fulfill customer requirements.
- Generate conceptual drawings and renderings for customer approval.
- Generate fabrication drawings, specs, and quality control expectations.
- Document R&D efforts and decision-making in all stages of product development.
- Collaborate with other teammates in the certification process of a product.
- Support the fabrication and manufacturing lines.
- Generate assembly drawings and processes for existing and new products.
- Manage
- Update and maintain the necessary documentation for the fabrication and manufacturing of parts.
- Collaborate with multiple departments in all phases of a product, from concept to production.
Key Requirements:
- 3 years of tracking record of designing electromechanical products using high-power electric and geared motors in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, including 3D modeling and simulation.
- Strong technical understanding of production technologies and product assembly.
- Mindset to design flawless products by executing systematic analysis from concept to manufacturing, constantly evaluating and eliminating negative risks.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), team leadership, and interpersonal skills.
