Your next career:
The engineering managers are leaders' champions and partner with product, engineering, and design teams to innovate and deliver new features and enhancements for the Fabric eCommerce platform. The successful candidate will have experience leading a software development team while being a robust and hands-on technologist. A person who is comfortable with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required. Other vital factors are strong communication skills, self-direction, and solid problem-solving skills focusing on delivering innovative platform solutions.
Fabric's key audiences include marketers, merchandisers, and developers in the eCommerce market. You should be passionate about how e-commerce technology empowers midmarket and enterprise B2B, B2C, and DTC customers in this unique moment of accelerated digital transformation and opportunities to help them modernize and drive growth. Ideal candidates will already understand modern eCommerce solutions and how to build best-in-class SaaS products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of software engineers to build scalable SaaS products.
- Working with your team to define and develop a culture that fosters growth and success.
- Collaborate in a team environment across multiple engineering teams, making the architectural trade-offs need to deliver software solutions quickly and iteratively.
- Define and drive software engineering best practices through design, reviews, and scalable mechanisms.
- Provide technical leadership and develop best-in-class engineering for our products by ensuring that the products and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, and reusable.
- Owning the complete software development lifecycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, implementing, and releasing to customers.
What you bring to the table:
- 8 years of software development experience, most of which is an engineering leadership role.
- 5 years of recent experience in a fast-growing SaaS startup
- Experience as a hands-on software engineering as well as building and leading engineering teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others.
- Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience development of large-scale consumer-facing micro-services solutions.
- Interest in eCommerce, SaaS, startups, and modern software architecture.
