Cleaver Brooks is looking for a** Drafter **to join our team in **Thomasville, GA. **The Drafter prepares and maintains drawings using conventional drafting techniques, as well as a working knowledge of drafting and manufacturing systems and processes.

Essential functions:

• Prepares and maintains mechanical/dimensional drawings to support senior drafters, designers, and engineers.
• Prepares and maintains layout drawings used to establish final details of sub-components.
• Selects appropriate templates and other equipment needed.
• Initiates Engineering Notices as required and generates complete Bills of Materials.
• Calculates dimensions and specifies standard allowances as directed.

External Contacts: Regular contacts requiring work of non-controversial nature.

Basic Requirements:

Education: 2-3 year Degree/certificate in Technical Field

Experience: 0 to 3 months, Experience in AutoCAD (mechanical or electrical), Experience in reading or developing electrical schematics

• Physical Skill & Effort: **Work requires skilled, accurate, rapid, and closely coordinated manual skill. Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion.
• Working Conditions and Hazards: **Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions.
