JOB DESCRIPTION
The Carpenter works within a team of tradespeople to progress the execution of Fading West Construction projects according to Fading West Construction, LLC's Unified Design-Build Process. This position completes scopes of work which include framing, siding, decking, trim, doors, windows and clean-up of job sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in establishing and maintaining a healthy team environment through proactive communication and respect for others on the team
- Safely perform standard carpentry tasks including cutting, drilling, nailing, etc.
- Successfully build assigned carpentry projects to Fading West Construction, LLC’s quality standards
- Utilize experience to inform the continuous improvement of quality standards
- Meet the production demands of assigned carpentry projects while embracing the challenge of pioneering efficient processes
- Work independently by both learning and utilizing standardized production processes
- Provide Superintendent project support through thorough communication of project status and resources required for successful completion of projects
- Maintain a willingness to contribute anywhere needed in order to advance the progress of Fading West Construction projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have and maintain a valid driver license
- Willingness to work as part of a unified team and engage in group process
- Previous construction experience required
- Must have an understanding of construction terms
- Must be proficient with the use of carpentry tools
REQUIREMENTS
- In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
- This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-disclosure agreement
- Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
- Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
- May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology
COMPENSATION
- Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour.
(Rate commensurate with experience) - $3,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time employees, $500 at 30 days, $1000 at 90 days, $1500 at 180 days.
- Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
