JOB DESCRIPTION
Training Coordinator
The Training Coordinator will serve to support our great people by designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs to give our great people the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to succeed. This role requires a unique candidate who is highly organized, detail oriented, as well as people oriented. This role requires exceptional administrative and organizational skills to support the employee population and the Human Resources department. This position has an important employee-facing component that requires skills in adult education and communication across the population spectrum. The right candidate will impress us with a combination of organizational and people skills, passion for our mission, their commitment to our employees, and their skillfulness in representing Fading West.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Develop and conduct complex specialized construction, manufacturing, and environmental health and safety training programs. Training includes, but is not limited to classroom, hands-on, simulation/virtual, field environment and exercises in a realistic and safe environment.
- Build safety actions and a safety culture mindset into all training programs.
- Conduct instructional program training across the organization ranging from technical skills to leadership development.
- Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, digital resources, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, reference works, and job-aids.
- Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs.
- Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training, report on progress of trainees under guidance during training period.
- Develop a follow-up mechanism for trainees requiring additional support or training.
- Collaborate across all organizational levels to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training to better understand changes in policies, procedures, business initiatives and technologies.
- Conduct needs assessments to ensure conformity with organizational training objectives and develop training programs as needed.
- Develop, administer, and maintain organizational-wide training calendar and tracks required initial and refresher training schedules.
- Assign and track employee training activities via the learning management system.
- Maintain training records for all employees.
- Remain current on developments in training and instructional methodologies including technology enhancements.
- Assist with training plans and career ladders for individual career advancement objectives.
- Training program grant administration, management, reporting, and oversight.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, related field, or equivalent work.
- Three years’ experience developing, delivering, analyzing, and measuring instructional training programs with a focus in adult education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to focus on various tasks and activities simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Prior experience with LMS systems is preferred.
- Bring an enthusiastic, service-minded and fun attitude to Fading West’s Human Resources team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be flexible and able to create new processes and procedures that help support a rapidly growing company
- Must be a strong communicator and able to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must enjoy a fast-paced workplace that is highly collaborative
- This position can be remote, but occasional travel of up to twice per month to the company headquarters in Buena Vista will be required
- This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement
- Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards

COMPENSATION
- Hourly Rate Range: $26.00 to $33.65 per hour
(Rate commensurate with experience) - Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1).
