What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preservation Manager position at Fairlead?
Preservation Manager’s Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assign duties to staff to meet daily production needs
- Train blasters and painters in the proper use of machinery, tools and equipment
- Keep current with SSPC requirements and hold various certifications
- Observe blasters and painters to ensure that safety is maintained at all times
- Understand how to safely operate blast pots and offer appropriate guidance
- Able to set-up and run pressure wash equipment, hoses and lines
- Troubleshoot and perform minor field repairs on equipment
- Demonstrate knowledge of marine coat application
- Frequently work with other managers to accomplish a project
- Clearly communicate to contractors and staff as they apply to bid specifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus fifteen years
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screen
