What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet captain position at FAIRMONT?
Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Banquets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Working knowledge of, and hands-on involvement with, coordinating and servicing events, on and off property, including set up, bar service, food service and closing
- Maintains close contact with client representative(s), guests and Heartists
- Clearly communicates with Rooms, Culinary, Stewarding and other departments both verbally and in writing
- Owns and follows up on requests from clients and Heartists
Qualifications
- Two years Banquets experience as F&B Supervisor, shift lead, full-service banquet manager or full-service assistant banquet manager within a luxury property
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work long hours, day and night, including weekends and holidays
- Looks at the big picture and adjusts the small details
