Fajita Pete's is hiring immediately for Line Cooks to join their team! Part time and Full time, permanent positions are available.
A Line Cook or Prep Cook plates orders as well as completes basic food prepping tasks for a store. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food for a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.
Line Cook duties and responsibilities
A Line Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items created by the Corporate Team. They are to keep the kitchen running smoothly and produce all guest orders in a timely fashion. Some of their key duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting with stocking line and walk-in along with setting up the kitchen stations following company standards.
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients.
- Cooking Fajitas, Platos, Caterings, and Desserts
- Plating prepared foods based on corporate guidelines
- Working with Leads and Managers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning all kitchen and cooking utensils. Storing any equipment at the end of shifts. Always maintain the highest level of sanitation and cleanliness.
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Maintain Corporate gold standards for Prepped items, Plated items, and Catered items
- Always have a guest centric mentality and go above and beyond for every order no matter the size
- Rotate stock and fresh prep all vegetables daily
- Complete all side following prep to build and prep to peak lists
- Portion all items correctly following the corporate issued plating guides
- Complete all other tasks as assigned by the management team
