Falcon Critical Care Transport (“Falcon”) provides the highest levels of ambulance care for hospitals throughout Northern California. Our 250 employees utilize 70 ambulances, safely transporting patients 24/7. Hiring and retention of field staff is critical to the success of the operation and is also the foundation upon which the employee experience is built. The Recruiting Coordinator will support Falcon’s talent acquisition and recruiting activities. With direction provided by the Talent Acquisition Manager, this position will assist with recruiting and administrative tasks with the goal of attracting, hiring, and retaining the best talent in our industry.

  • Support end to end recruiting process for all roles.
  • Assist in sourcing and screening potential new hires.
  • Assist in the guidance of candidates and future employees through the hiring & credentialing process.
  • Onboard new hires; run background check, hire in ADP, invite to Blink, ensure all tasks are completed to hire an employee within company systems (ADP, TraumaSoft, WEX).
  • Confirm and upload credentials to ADP and TraumaSoft systems.
  • Proactively communicate and prepare new hire for academy.
  • Post onboarding duties include; electronic I9 management, confirm candidate finalized onboarding, ongoing document maintenance (run census reports, track monthly hire and terms, DMV pull notices).
  • Deliver a superb candidate experience from initial contact through entire recruiting/onboarding process.
  • Maintain employee records ensuring documents are stored in an employee’s personnel file according to policy and in compliance.
  • Represent Falcon at visits with EMT schools and career fairs to present employment opportunities and gather candidate leads.
  • Support EMT School coordination including; school outreach, maintain school list and track outreach.
  • Outreach to student candidates from school visits.
  • Manage ordering and maintain inventory of branded materials for new hires and recruiting events.
  • Provide insights on the company recruiting strategy including visibility on external sites such as Glassdoor and really.
  • Act as HR representative and culture champion for the Walnut Creek Office.
  • Assist in the daily management of the Walnut Creek Office.
  • Partner in the implementation of programs, policies and procedures which support Falcon’s goal to become the employer of choice within our industry.
  • Examine and recommend enhancements to HR processes to ensure continuous improvement of Falcon’s support of our internal and external customers.


  • Basic knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures. California experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Effective public speaking and comfortable presenting, training, and speaking to large groups.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS or related software. ADP experience a plus.


  • Working interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating a high degree of empathy, customer focus, and discretion.
  • Working verbal and written communication skills ensuring employees have the best experience while engaging with the People Team.
  • Strong learning agility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team.


  • Two years recruiting related experience preferred.
  • Prior EMS/EMT experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or other field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • HR Certification (HRCI/SHRM) credential preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and ability to visit Falcon’s (local) regional stations & EMT Schools.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours as needs require for interviewing and school visits.


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
