Work environment:

You will be working in a brand new, natural light filled, State-of-the-Art Facility in Walker Michigan.

The Production Planner/Scheduler position is critical to the company's success. They create production plans and support raw material scheduling to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize operational productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

· Creates master production schedule based on forecast analysis, customer demand, and production capacities to ensure on time delivery to our customers in our Commercial Insulated Metal Panel setting.

· Creation of CSV Files for scheduled production.

· Communicate to logistics department due dates, date changes, transportation requests etc.

· Communicates with Customer regarding schedule and readiness of the customer. Communicates any changes with the customer and rest of internal team.

· Drives creative, quick scheduling solutions with capability of being flexible based on Production and Customer needs.

· Analyzes and reviews current inventory levels of indirect raw materials, submitting purchase requests to keep adequate stock according to schedule.

· Upload and manage production jobs in ERP system.

· Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine production processes and raw material requirements, in an effort to reduce/optimize change overs.

· Assesses production progress to plan and measures overall schedule attainment.

· Manage inventory target levels for finished goods.

· Adjust schedules to address unexpected situations such as production downtime, staffing shortages, a spike in customer demand and material shortages.

· Collaborate with other teams in the organization such as procurement, sales, logistics, operations, etc.

· Identify, address and communicate situations of excess demand and/or capacity shortfalls, and work with Procurement and Operations leadership to address with staffing and overtime.

· Provide reports and support projects as requested by management.

· Develops and maintains strong relationships as the Point of Contact with internal and external customers including; shipping, production, finance, and other GRC facilities and interests.

Experience / Skills

· 2 - 5 years of manufacturing, forecasting and scheduling experience.

· Associate’s degree in business or related field is preferred.

· Experience in ERP systems

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Inventory management, including ERP inventory control

· Excellent math skills

· Integrity and trust, with strong work ethic

· Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills

· Strong Data Analysis capabilities.

· Ability to multi-task and change gears quickly

· Ability to identify issues and develop option-based solutions

· Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced spreadsheet creation and manipulation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
