DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time community vocational rehabilitation position at our human services nonprofit typically works during the day.
As a TANF Employment Specialist, you get to know our program participants in order to understand their needs, strengths, interests, aptitudes, experiences, and capabilities. You build trust as you partner with them to develop a service plan known as a Family Contract Amendment (FCA). This amendment outlines their short- and long-term employment goals. In monthly meetings with participants, you document progress toward their goals and ensure they're clear on program requirements. You're quick to reach out and reschedule if they ever miss a scheduled appointment.
In collaboration with external providers, you make sure participants have access to all of the services and support they need. Utilizing our FedcapCARES program, you run reports and use the data you find to plan daily and weekly tasks. You're sure to follow up and provide support with tasks and you always uphold our policies as you work, which makes you a great representative of our nonprofit. REQUIREMENTS FOR A TANF EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
