Program Overview:
Family Centers' School Based Health Centers (SBHC) are free-standing medical centers located within six high and middle schools in Stamford and at Kids in Crisis in Greenwich. Staffed by licensed nurse practitioners, clinical social workers, dental professionals and a health educator, each SBHC provides on-site confidential physical, dental and mental health services to students enrolled in Stamford Public Schools.
The Role:
The Office Support Staff 's (OSS) primary responsibility is as receptionist and clerical/office support for a middle school health center located in Stamford, CT. She/He is responsible for organizing and maintaining records, collecting data, responding to communications concerning the administration of the health center and establishing positive rapport with students and school staff. The OSS works collaboratively with staff in carrying out the objectives of the health center. Additional duties include office operations, scheduling appointments, maintaining electronic and paper based records, filing, insurance billing verification and processing, assist with ordering, re-stocking and transporting supplies for health center, assuring a safe and clean environment, scheduling staff meetings/ maintaining minutes and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Equivalent office experience, with experience in medical and/or dental offices preferred
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Ability to work 30 hours during the school year
- Bilingual (Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated detail orientation with ability to maintain accurate records
