Junior Programmer

Description of Primary Responsibilities

• Assists the programming team with programming, testing, implementing, and documenting basic applications.
• Writes software programs and applications according to specifications and standards.
• Designs, runs, and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.
• Installs software products for end users.
• Responsible for interfacing with vendors in the implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of adaptation issues.
• Responsible for generating statistics and writing reports for management and team members.
• Responsible for managing projects and training users on application usage.
• Provides technical training to internal customers and Network Technicians on FHCN systems and applications.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining user manuals and guidelines.
• Responsible for working with Network Administrators, Systems Analysts, and Software Engineers in resolving problems with software products and systems.
• Responsible for assisting the Programming Team in the review, evaluation, design, implementation, and maintenance of multiple company databases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Professional & Technical Knowledge:

• Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, technical or health care related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate type program.
• Job duties require specific knowledge and training in basic programming.
