Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide advice on sponsor level risk monitoring and risk identification for the organization, develop risk mitigation strategies for sponsors, and provide risk mitigation recommendations to other groups.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The MF Risk - Risk Management - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Assist team with determining sponsor level risks  that pose potential risks to the enterprise.
  • Assist by reviewing and providing basic analyses regarding the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
  • Analyze risks and participate in discussions to brainstorm solutions.
  • Partner with the team to carry out business strategies that will drive success in the face of shifting sponsor and market behaviors and regulations.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

 

Desired Experiences

  • Experience in commercial real estate and/or credit underwriting is preferred.
  • 2-4 years
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

 

Skills:

  • Familiarity with Multifamily housing and concepts of counterparty/sponsor strength, credit underwriting and risk management.
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements and schedules of real estate of multifamily sponsors for the purpose of analyzing trends, summarizing findings, and elevating risks
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Skilled in business writing and supporting recommendations through diverse sources of data and documentation, as well as presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Adept at managing multiple projects concurrently while providing status updates to stakeholders and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Work independently with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency, with the wherewithal to raise issues and questions when needed
  • Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Power Point, Tableau and Microsoft Word
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel
